My birthday

A fabulous weekend of celebrations for my birthday.  On Friday, my actual birthday, I had a lovely day out - a sort of mystery tour of the Cotswolds taking in Burford and Stow on the Wold, and finishing off with an Indian meal in the evening.  It was a leisurely day on Saturday, but in the evening I was really moved to find that a surprise meal with friends, had been laid on for me - thanks Nic, Charlotte and Sharon.  Cakes made by Nic (skills from his baking days) - it was a blessed evening.

The tree!

Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I worked with Nic clearing away bushes and the 'tree' in readiness for planting a Yew hedge. The 'tree' had a monster root ball to get out, but after hacking at its roots for a day, we managed to pull it over with Nic's truck. It was hard work, but great fun.

Cirque Du Soleil

Popped down to London for a lovely weekend to grab myself a bit of culture. It was a jam packed few days - Cirque Du Soleil at the Albert Hall, The London Eye, The National and Portrait Gallery, Covent Garden (getting involved in the street entertainment, now that was a hoot ) and St Pauls Cathedral.  London is a fabulous city.
